Zugspitze and Eibsee

Lake Eibsee in Bavaria is rightly called the "Bavarian Caribbean": with shimmering green, crystal-clear water, you can enjoy paradisiacal tranquility here at 1,000 meters above sea level. Close to nature to recharge: walk around the lake or experience it from the water side on a boat tour and then fortify yourself in the lakeside restaurant Eibsee-Pavillon.

In the background of the Eibsee, the Zugspitze massif rises up to 2,962 meters. Germany's highest mountain is located southwest of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and offers an unobstructed view of 400 different mountain peaks from the summit. The AlpspiX viewing platform, which rises almost 1,000 meters above the abyss, offers pure adrenaline. The Zugspitzbahn mountain railroad takes you up to the Zugspitze.
