Heidelberg

The city of Heidelberg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Tourists love the picturesque old town with its narrow alleys and the majestic castle ruins. However, the city on the Neckar River is also famous for its university. Ruprecht Karls University was founded in 1386, making it one of the oldest in Europe and the oldest university in Germany. With around 14,500 employees, Heidelberg University is even the largest employer in Heidelberg.
