EuroNight Basel-Malmö
With our new EuroNight Basel-Malmö 472/473, we are launching a comfortable and direct night train connection in cooperation with Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), connecting Switzerland and Scandinavia without the need to change trains for the first time! This route, which is over 1,400 kilometers long, runs through Switzerland, Germany, and Denmark to Sweden.
The EuroNight offers space for around 350 passengers in sleeping cars, couchette cars, and seating cars, and also features a barrier-free compartment. A bistro car will operate in both directions on the route between Basel SBB and Padborg.
Malmö is an ideal starting point for onward travel within Scandinavia, including to Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Oslo. Popular destinations such as Copenhagen, Jutland, and Zealand in Denmark are also connected, as are several cities in southern Germany and the Rhine-Main area. In Karlsruhe, passengers can connect to the TGV to Paris, while in Basel SBB, they can connect to popular destinations in Switzerland and northern Italy.
Timetable 2026
The EuroNight will operate from 15 April 2026, all year round three times a week in both directions (Basel - Malmö).
Tickets
Tickets will be available starting November 4, 2025. Tickets for trips are usually available six months in advance. Our maiden voyage is on April 15, 2026!
